Arthur W. S. Herrington

Arthur W. S. Herrington (born March 30, 1891, and died September 6, 1970) was a brilliant American engineer. He is immortalized in automotive and military history as the co-creator of the legendary four-wheel-drive "Jeep", a robust and versatile vehicle that became one of the great logistical and tactical symbols of World War II.
