António-Pedro Vasconcelos (born March 10, 1939, and died March 6, 2024) was an acclaimed Portuguese filmmaker, producer, and critic. A central figure in the New Portuguese Cinema, he directed iconic works such as "Os Imortais" and "Call Girl", combining enormous commercial success with a profound critical sense of contemporary society.
