Alexei Leonov

Alexei Leonov (b. 1934) was a legendary Soviet cosmonaut who carved his name into space exploration history by becoming the first human being to perform a spacewalk (extravehicular activity), spending ten minutes outside the Voskhod 2 spacecraft in 1965.
