    Rabindranath Tagore

    Rabindranath Tagore, Indian writer, poet, musician and painter. He was the first non-European to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913, for his collection of poems "Gitanjali". He revolutionized Bengali literature and was an influential voice in India's independence movement. He has composed more than 2,000 songs, including the national anthems of India and Bangladesh. He died in Calcutta on August 7, 1941, he was 80 years old.

    Władysław Reymont

    Władysław Reymont, Polish writer. Awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1924 for his masterpiece, the peasant saga "The Peasants" (Chłopi), a four-volume rural epic depicting life in a Polish village. He also wrote "The Promised Land", a critical portrait of industrialization in Poland. Self-taught, he worked as a railway worker before dedicating himself to literature. He died in Warsaw on December 5, 1925, he was 58 years old.
