Austrian writer, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2019

Abdulrazak Gurnah, Tanzanian writer and university professor. Born in Zanzibar (now Tanzania), he moved to the United Kingdom in the 1960s as a refugee. He became known worldwide after winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2021, for his "compassionate and penetrating portrayal of the effects of colonialism and the fate of refugees in the abyss between cultures and continents". His most acclaimed works include "Paradise" (1994), "By the Sea" (2001) and "Desertion" (2005), which explore themes of displacement, exile and post-colonial identity.

Camané (b. 1966) is consensually considered one of the greatest fado singers of his generation. His immaculate rhythmic intuition and absolute respect for the roots of fado grant him a status of excellence in interpreting the national song.
