Rafi Eitan

Rafael "Rafi" Eitan, Israeli spy and politician. A legendary figure in Israeli intelligence, he directed the operation that captured Adolf Eichmann in Argentina in 1960. As head of Mossad operations, he participated in numerous espionage missions in the service of Israel. Later, he was a minister in the Israeli government and headed Lakam, a scientific intelligence agency. Controversial, he was involved in the Jonathan Pollard case, which caused tensions in relations between Israel and the USA. In the last phase of his life, he dedicated himself to politics and became a recognized visual artist. He passed away in Tel Aviv on March 23, 2019, aged 92.
