Sigmund Freud (born May 6, 1856, and died September 23, 1939) was an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis. His pioneering work introduced revolutionary concepts such as the id, the ego, and sublimation, profoundly altering the understanding of the human mind and modern psychology.
