Leiji Matsumoto (born April 28, 1935, and died February 13, 2023) was an iconic Japanese manga artist and anime director. Creator of works such as "Space Battleship Yamato" and "Captain Harlock", his visual style and philosophical themes about space exploration inspired generations.

Saddam Hussein (born April 28, 1937, and died December 30, 2006) was the oppressive Iraqi dictator. He plunged the country into devastating wars and used chemical weapons against Kurdish civilians, before being deposed, tried, and executed in 2006.

Saint Peter Chanel (born July 12, 1803, and died April 28, 1841) was a French missionary priest. He is venerated as the first Catholic martyr of Oceania, assassinated on the island of Futuna during his evangelization work.
