Michael Hutchence, lead singer of the band INXS, was born. Hutchence was the voice and charismatic stage presence of the band, known for his contributions to rock and pop in the 80s and 90s.

Michael Hutchence (born January 22, 1960, and died November 22, 1997) was the magnetic frontman of INXS. His feline presence and sensual voice took Australian rock to the top of the world charts in the 80s and 90s.
