Maria Velho da Costa

Portuguese writer (1938-2020). One of the "Three Marias", co-author of the revolutionary work "Novas Cartas Portuguesas" (1972), together with Maria Teresa Horta and Maria Isabel Barreno. Winner of the Camões Prize in 2002, she is considered one of the most important voices in contemporary Portuguese literature. He passed away in Lisbon at the age of 81.
